Things I Found While Googling Myself

hebrew.jpg
From the Hebrew phrase "ayelet hashachar," literally "gazelle of dawn," which is a name of the morning star. In case anyone was dying to know what my name means or how to write it in Hebrew. Useful!

A fellow writer who happens to be married to one of my favorite authors, Michael Chabon (and who's penned several novels of her own while getting a fair amount of press for her short-lived blog).

Ayelet, the Kosher Komic!, the only strictly kosher professional comedienne in the world.

Ayelet Ohayon, Olympic women's fencing champion!

Ayelet Carmi, awesome abstract artist.

The Ayelet Project, providing mentoring by trained volunteers to Israeli women starting a new life outside the cycle of violence (impressive!).

heh - I was on a Googabout (using Google to wax nostalgic about college friends of past) and found this page looking for a girl I went to college with - turns out she was mentioned on this page about the author of this page looking for her own name - fun

you know that I have a friend named Ayelet Soffer who is a really brilliant computer programmer, and also works with her sister on these PHENOMENAL flower arrangements & such for weddings and other parties.

I think i saw the term "egoogle" for what you just did.. self-googling!

Oh yeah.. i'm off to do it for myself... because, you know, how many Avivas are there? Have you done it for Yael yet?
